High Frequency Word Intervention is a new product from Spell to Excel that teaches students how to read, write, say, and spell 1,000 of the most frequently used English words.

For Students

The High Frequency Word Intervention activity lets students pick the words they don't know, teaches them how to say and spell the word, and tests them for spelling comprehension.

Once the student can spell the word, they are asked to read the words they know. The software records how long it takes for them to read 25 words at a time, and then sets them on a race to see if they've have met their Words Per Minute goal set by the teacher.

For Teachers

Teachers can track their students progress, compare them to the rest of the class, change the student's Word Per Minute goal to match their skill level, assign and create new word lists for students to learn, and more.
